He was a dairy farmer in Lake Ariel and drove for ABF Freight System in Wilkes-Barre, until his disability. He enjoyed sports and was a die-hard Kansas City Chiefs fan. In health, he enjoyed many outdoor activities including fishing, hunting, camping, and kayaking. He was an avid reader and enjoyed studying history and the Bible.
Michael came to faith in Jesus after his first wife passed, although as a young child he would listen to the weekly radio broadcast of the Billy Graham Crusade. He was very active at Trinity Episcopal Church, Carbondale and later served as a deacon at Cornerstone Bible Church. He always wanted to know how you were doing and took the time to really listen and ask questions. He had the gift of encouragement.
